Some require a valid PageRank, others "quality content" (whatever that means) and other take waaaaay too long to get listed.

You probably saw something like that:

"This is a family friendly directory, so we will reject websites with adult, warez or illegal content or that link to adult, warez or illegal content" or "We will reject site that is a mirror site or primarily contains links selling affiliate products" and "We will reject sites that are under construction" as well as "We accept website that are in English only." Our guidelines are MUCH simpler: we accept all the internet junk (however some restriction apply; see Terms and Conditions) and all other good sites, if you want to associate yourself with these vagabonds. Submissions are paid and here are the reasons:

Since you're an investor and hoping to make money off your site, you need to spend money to make money (yes, cliche, but makes sense)
Most of you don't even bother to find a right category for your site, so it is our job to correct your screw-ups and get you listed.
This (and any other) web directory requires daily maintenance tasks, hosting and domain fees, so us (Administrators), deserve to recover some of these costs
We do not ask nor offer a reciprocal link, some of you do not even have a link page.

Some basic rules:

This directory has very "relaxed" approval criteria, BUT accepts ONLY legal sites. Banned content includes, but not limited to: no racism, hate, child pornography, illegal downloads and patent/copyright infringement is allowed. It is your responsibility and up to our discretion to decide if your site's content comply with this rule as well as any applicable laws.
Your site must have at least one page to get listed; parked pages are OK; mirror sites are OK; however forwarded and linked sites will be rejected.
Spam sites are no allowed.
Non-English sites: title and description should be in English. Site must be submitted under World category. If your language subcategory is not listed, contact us and we will add your country/language.
If you are non-profit or charity organization, email us and we will arrange for a free submission.
